The Event Objectives

Education in Lighting, Sustainable Lighting Practices & The Future of Lighting Design.
Mini workshops will enhance the seminar perception for all delegates as is the forte of LIG seminars.
An impressive array of Speakers are lined up to achieve a game-changing experience.

Lights In Goa 2024

“LIGHTS IN GOA” is an educational seminar and workshop series.
Of the previous six editions, five were held in Goa and one in the City of Bengaluru.
We have in 2011 successfully conducted a one-week long Lighting Design Workshop, similar to the one in Alingsas Sweden.

This Year we have moved the action to Mumbai, which has a large concentration of Design Professionals as well as a significant concentration of Builders and Developers, hoteliers and Industrialists who have to be sensitized and educated on Good lighting Practices.

These, added with Design students and the Lighting Industry representatives will constitute the Audience.

Learning Objectives

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of interdisciplinary learning in the field of Lighting Education, expand their knowledge of user-oriented lighting design, understand how light and darkness can be applied within cultural contexts and understand how to embark on a career in lighting.

Mini practical workshops enable attendees to gain hands-on experience on the language of cultures through light, designing with darkness, and designing lighting for a mixed-use project.

The workshop discussions offer the opportunity for attendees to discover and debate how spaces can be transformed into places, how lighting designers develop their lifelong learning, and how to become aware of lighting-related disciplines.
